Recently, Professor Pei-Yuan Qian’s research team of the Hong Kong Branch of the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Guangzhou) decoded a deep-sea vent-endemic snail hologenome for the first time, and unveiled its living strategies in the extreme environment, through the integration of multiple omics approaches, including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics.
