Recently, a collaborative research team led by Prof. Pei-Yuan Qian (Director) and Professor Jianwen Qiu (Area 3 task leader) of the Hong Kong Branch of the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Guangzhou), worked together to unlock genomic secrets of gutless deep-sea tubeworm for the first time, through integrated genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic analyses, shedding light on nutritional complementarity and biomaterial production. The research findings have been published in the international academic journal Molecular Biology and Evolution and The ISME Journal, respectively.
